Any cyclist that peruses magazines about
our sport has come across mail order ads for tires. A lot of the
prices that are listed for various tires seem very low. So low in
fact, that if they have made a recent tire purchase from a retail
store the feeling of having just been overcharged is hard to shake.
I'm not here to give you that defensive
statement "mail order is bad, retail is good, so quit your
price shopping and just pay up."!
There are pros and cons, and a time and
place for each way when you make aftermarket purchases. Let me lay
some points out for you so you can see what's best for you.
